Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We only set the cookies this website needs to work. We use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

Our cookies

• bc_csrf: a random security code that stops other websites sending forms in your name (orders, sign in, deals signup). Lasts 30 days.
• bc_c: keeps you signed in to My Account. It holds your account number, email, name and mobile number, signed so it cannot be changed. Lasts 30 days, deleted when you sign out.
• bc_a: staff only. Keeps staff signed in to the admin panel for up to 12 hours.
• bc_dev: staff only. Marks a shop tablet as trusted, for up to 400 days.

Our cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page, and on the live site they are only sent over a secure connection.

Stored in your browser

These use your browser’s local storage, not cookies. They stay on your device until you clear them.

• bc_cart: your basket, until you place the order.
• bc_me: the name, email and mobile number you last used at checkout, so you do not have to type them again.
• bc_last: a link to your last order, so you can get back to its status page.
• bc_sound: staff only. Set when the new order sound is switched off on a shop tablet.

Other companies

• Google Maps: the map on our homepage is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies.
• Stripe and PayPal: their payment pages set their own cookies to process your payment and prevent fraud.
• Delivery apps and social media: once you follow a link to Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Facebook or TikTok, their own cookie policies apply.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, forms, ordering and sign in will stop working.
